My name is Torry Bernard and I am the Administrative Assistant at Advocacy Unlimited. I have worked at AU for over six years, starting off in Join Rise Be and helped begin the Young Adult Warmline. Through the years at AU I have had the honor to work with young adults, get certified and trained in Intentional Peer Support and also am a Recovery Support Specialist.
I grew up in the Foster Care System so my passion to help others comes from this. I want to be able to help youth who are aging out of the system have support with whatever journey they may want to take. Foster care, human trafficking, and mental health are things that I advocate and help with everyday.
In my own free time I enjoy the ocean, dancing, singing and being around positive people. I feel as though I have been blessed with a second chance at life after all I have been through, and each day I love to connect with peers and see the good in each person and live life the best way I can.
