Join Rise Be hosted the 2nd Annual Young Adult Leadership Summit on January 25th, 2020 in Hartford, CT. Our hard work and dedication was shown through the success of this wonderful event. We connected with people from all over the State, had workshops on creative expression such as music, art, makeup and more, and had other workshops on advocating and connection.
We presented the “Johnathan McKenzie Creative Expressions Award” at the Summit to our lovely co worker- Heidi! Heidi has inspired so many people to be creative and be themselves. Other highlights of this day was bringing in a piece of Toivo by Jessica doing a mindfulness practice with everyone. Join Rise Be had a great time networking with young people who gave great feedback on wanting to get involved with letting their voices be heard. What a great day!
