October 22 and 25 @ 9am "Serving Those Who Serve: Essential Competencies for the Recovery Support Specialist"  Following the Military Family’s contribution of selfless service and sacrifice to our collective needs for freedom and safety as a community united by nation, partnering Recovery Support Specialists and mental healthcare workers have an opportunity to fulfill the important role of providing support to their subsequent health, wellness, and healing needs.  As Military Members, Veterans, and their Families are increasingly seeking support within community settings, it is imperative to be, at a minimum, armed with information to appropriately and effectively manage contact and make a connection.

GOVERNOR LAMONT ADVISES CONNECTICUT RESIDENTS TO PREPARE FOR HIGH TEMPERATURES OVER NEXT SEVERAL DAYS Cooling Centers Are Open Across the State and Can Be Located by Calling 2-1-1 Governor Ned Lamont is advising Connecticut residents, particularly those who are among the most vulnerable, to take precautions ahead of the high temperatures that are forecast to impact the state over the next several days, which is estimated to begin around the morning of Wednesday, August 11, 2021 and last through the evening of Friday, August 13, 2021. To provide protection from the extreme conditions, cooling centers are opening across Connecticut.
