This training will focus upon the many unique issues facing members of the LGBTQI community and the impact of those issues upon the treatment process. Sociopolitical, legal, parenting, mental health, and substance use challenges will be reviewed to assist practitioners in creating an accepting and affirming space for the counseling and treatment process to occur.
